It was an experience.... Today was the first time I encountered it. At around 415pm, suddenly, my whole centre was in darkness. The heavy rain and dark skies contributed to the dark environment as well. There was a power failure. Thank goodness somehow there was like some kinda back-up spotlight that turned on if such situations occur. Haha, strange I know.
When it happened, I was changing 2 children from the Playgroup classroom. Very spontaneously, when the lights all went off, all the fans went off, etc, screams were heard. Some cries too. Especially from the younger children. The power failure lasted for about 30-40 minutes. Throughout the period, heavy rain and thunder still continued on. During that moment, I can see the children's many responses. I was at the Playgroup classroom, helping out, because we were short-handed. Few of the boys were very excited at the situation, and they were like laughing happily, running around the classroom. And a few of them, especially this 1 boy, he clung on to me, never letting go. He practically buried his face against my chest, near my armpits!! Haha... I sat in that position, holding on tight to that little child, for 20 minutes at the least. Boy, do my legs feel cramped after that!!
Tomorrow, initially, I should have a date with my primary school friend. I have not met her for like nearly 2 years. We were always planning to meet but somehow, something always hinder us. But, as I've mentioned, there's always things that hinder our meeting. For tomorrow, me and 1 of my colleague have to go attend International Women's Day Seminar at NTUC Centre at One Marina Boulevard. Haiz....
And tomorrow, Dearie's getting engaged. :( Hey! No, his cousin getting engaged. So no chance of meeting him either. He now always refuse to meet me. Sadz.
Well then, gotta get sleep now...
